Residential project that has townhomes of year-round farmworker housing.  Unique feature of the 3 bedroom townhomes:  separating one of the bedrooms to another floor for an extend family member, such as an elderly parent or newlywed older children.  The design is an attractive, functional, and energy-efficient that fits in with the neighborhood but also stands out with a fun architectural style.   Completed: 2016.

Ruth Court Apartments

seattle, wa

This private development was built in a quiet neighborhood in the Capitol Hill area of Seattle.  While the four story apartment was designed as market rate housing, 20 percent of the units are set aside as affordable housing.  Amenities include:  underground parking, a roof top view garden, meet and greet lobby functions, a dog wash station, a bicycle garage/work area and a large at-grade courtyard area to provide an outdoor space for the occupants.  This project was designed for singles, couples and small families whose desire is to live in this growing community in the heart of Seattle.  The project was built to the 4 star Built Green sustainability standard, which includes:  reuse of site salvaged wood and brick, LED lighting, 30 percent energy savings over comparable buildings, photo-voltaic electricity and finishes with recycled content.  For more photos refer to Ruth Court's Website.  Completed: 2016.

East Olive Apartments

seattle, wa

This Built Green project was designed for a private investment group whose goal was to develop a mixed use apartment building in the Capitol Hill area of Seattle.  Amenities include: secure indoor bicycle storage and storage lockers, and a roof top view garden and patio area to provide an outdoor space for the occupants.  This project consists of 36 micro units.  Each unit has a small kitchen, full bathroom, closet and room for a queen size bed or a sofa bed.  These small but efficient units are designed for urban dwellers who desire an affordable apartment close to work and school.  The first floor has three desirable commercial units.  Completed: 2016.
